Get to Know the Freshman- Stewart Block

Block enters his freshman campaign at LSU with massive potential. He is a 6-4 all-court player who has a huge serve and forehand.

The freshman competed in two of the Tigers’ three fall tournaments. He won his first career match at the Commodore Scramble against Lousiville’s Fredrik Moe with a straight-set, 6-1, 7-6(0) feat.

His second win was on his home court at the LSU Tennis Complex in the ITA Southern Regional where he defeated Troy’s Jorge Poyatos in the first round of the qualifying singles, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Out of high school, Block was one of the top players in the state of Florida where he was coached by Heath Turpin and Julian Alonso.
