“We feel it’s important to our season-ticket holders that we try to play a full home schedule, and this game will also help our team, particularly our pitching staff, to prepare for this weekend’s SEC opener against Georgia,” said LSU coach Paul Mainieri. “Louisiana College has a very good club and a strong competitive history with LSU, so we’re looking forward to a great game, and we’re glad another Louisiana school has the opportunity to experience a game in Alex Box Stadium.”
LSU leads the all-time series with Louisiana College, 20-2; the schools have met 22 times since 1914, most recently in 2012, when the Tigers posted a 10-2 win over the Wildcats.
