GAINESVILLE, Fla.—The LSU men’s tennis team dropped its final match of the ITA Kick-Off Weekend to No. 11 Florida, 4-0, Sunday morning at the Ring Tennis Complex.
With the loss, the Tigers fell to 1-2 on the season, while Florida improved to 2-0.
Coach Brown on the Match
“We are very encouraged from this weekend,” head coach Jeff Brown said. “We know what we are capable of and excited to get back home and build off of this weekend.”

Doubles Point
Florida started off with wins on courts two and three to take the doubles point from the Tigers.
Rafael Wagner and Eric Samuelsson fell, 3-6, to Elliot Orkin and McClain Kessler on court three. Chase Perez-Blanco and Max Lipman defeated Gabor Csonka and Julian Saborio, 6-3.
Singles Results
Sophomore Nikola Samardzic fell in straight sets to No. 64 Elliott Orkin, 2-6, 3-6, on court three as Florida took the 2-0 lead.
On court six, No. 98 Maxx Lipman defeated Samuelsson, 6-4, 6-1 to give the Gators the 3-0 advantage.
No. 67 McClain Kessler clinched the match for Florida on court four as Csonka lost in straight sets, 1-6, 5-7.
