BATON ROUGE – Here’s a statistical look at some of the former LSU basketball players now in professional leagues with stats entering this week:
BRANDON BASS – LA Clippers – Bass has played in 11 games so far and is averaging 9 minutes per game. He is averaging 3.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.4 points.
JUSTIN HAMILTON – Brooklyn Nets – In 17 games played, Hamilton is averaging 22.8 minutes. His totals are 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists.
JORDAN MICKEY – Boston Celtics – Mickey has played in eight games averaging 8.2 minutes per game. He averages 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds.
JARELL MARTIN – Memphis Grizzlies – Martin has appeared 17 times in games posting 13.2 minutes per game. He is averaging 4.4 points and 3.8 rebounds and Monday had his first NBA double double of 11 points-12 rebounds.
TIM QUARTERMAN – Portland Trailblazers – Appeared in 6 games for an average of 3.2 minutes per game.
BEN SIMMONS – Philadelphia 76ers – Jones fracture (foot); expected back in January.
GARRETT TEMPLE – Sacramento Kings – 18 games played for Temple, averaging 21.2 minutes per game. He is averaging 5.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists a game.
MARCUS THORNTON – Washington Wizards – Thornton has played in 15 games and is averaging 20 minutes a contest. He is averaging 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
Three other players who finished their career at LSU are involved in NBA D-League action most notably Josh Gray, who in his first start Sunday for the Northern Arizona Suns had the first triple double of his pro career. He is averaging 13.1 points, 3.86 rebounds and 5.29 assists per game.
Keith Hornsby, playing for the Texas Legends, is averaging 4.0 points and 1.0 rebounds a game while Johnny O’Bryant III is playing with Gray on the Northern Arizona Suns where he is averaging 15.2 points and 7.6 rebounds.
