TAF President’s Cup Raises Funds for Golf Teams

BATON ROUGE, LA – On Friday, October 21, 2016, Tiger Athletic Foundation held its 18th Annual TAF President’s Cup Championship at the University Club Golf Course. This tournament is held each year to raise money in support of the LSU Men’s and Women’s golf programs. This year, twenty two teams teed-up to support LSU student-athletes.

The TAF President’s Cup was sponsored by Cox Communications and Cox Business with additional donations provided by Baton Rouge Coca Cola, Oxford Golf, Superior Grill, Walk-On’s, Mike Anderson’s and the University Club. With the contributions of these supporters and the participation of the players on the twenty-two teams, TAF raised over $40,000 for the golf programs. This money will be divided equally between the Men’s and Women’s programs and will go a long way to ensure that the teams continue to compete at a championship level.

The winner of this year’s President’s Cup is Team Downing. Pictured with TAF President and CEO Rick Perry and LSU President Dr. F.
