All In: Basketball’s Epps and Patterson

BATON ROUGE – Fall workouts are continuing and the days are winding down to the official start of practice for the 2016-17 season for the LSU men’s basketball and juniors Aaron Epps and Jalyn Patterson are “All In.”

The Tigers will host 16 home games at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in the upcoming season and season ticket deposits are now being accepted at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office.

Epps, who hails from Ball, Louisiana in central Louisiana, played in 29 games a year ago with two starts. He averaged 3.8 points a game during the 2015-16 season. He played well in the Australia tour a season ago, averaging 6.4 points a game in the five contests, including 13 in a game against Melbourne United.

The Tioga High School graduate played four years of basketball at the school for Coach Lance Brasher and Epps was also a high jumper for three years on the school track team under Coach Troy Prestridge.

Patterson started the final 11 games of his freshman season and then started 16 games during the course of the 2016-17 season for LSU. He averaged 4.7 points per game and had 45 assists and 34 steals during the season. He has had 13 double figure scoring teams in his first two seasons at LSU, topped by a 20-point game at Arkansas in 2015.

Patterson, who hails from Atlanta, Georgia, was a point guard at Montverde during his prep days as the team captured one state championship and two ESPN national championships during his time there. IN 2013, Patterson hit the game-winning 3-pointer when Montverde won the National Invitational championship.

Deposits are $25 a ticket to reserve your season tickets for the upcoming season.

Seat locations will be assigned later this month based on LSU Philanthropic Rank as of April 30, 2016. The $25 deposit will be applied to the cost of the season tickets once the seats are assigned. Season tickets start at $100 for men’s basketball.
