BATON ROUGE – The unofficial start of football season begins this week with the annual SEC Media Days taking place in Birmingham and LSU has released its official 2016 football posters to coincide with the Tigers’ appearance at the event.
This year, LSU is producing two football posters – one featuring some of the key members of the offense, while the other focuses on some of Tiger defensive standouts.
The theme for the LSU football poster focuses on the word “All” and includes other words to describe the 2016 Tigers, a list that includes: victory, drive, power, pride, speed, force, heart and blitz.
The LSU offensive poster features returning All-America Leonard Fournette along with center Ethan Pocic, wide receivers Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre, tight end Colin Jeter, and quarterback Brandon Harris.
The defensive poster features such standouts as senior linebacker Kendell Beckwith, cornerback Tre’Davious White, defensive ends Lewis Neal and Christian LaCouture, nose tackle Davon Godchaux, and safety Jamal Adams.
The digital posters are currently available for download for social covers and desktop wallpapers at www.LSUsports.net/wallpapers.
The posters will be available for fans in early August at the LSU Athletic Administration Building. The posters, along with the popular placard posters, will be distributed at LSU Fan Day on Sunday, August. 14.
LSU coach Les Miles along with Fournette, Pocic and White will take their turn at SEC Media Days on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. You can watch the Tigers on Thursday on the SEC Network and then go behind the scenes on Twitter and Instagram at @LSUfootball.
