BATON ROUGE – Two members of the 2015-16 LSU women’s golf team have been recognized as Women’s Golf Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes announced by the WGCA Tuesday.
Freshman Kathleen Gallagher and senior Nadine Dreher were both names as part of the 828 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with this honor.
The criteria for selection to the WGCA Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Gallagher led the team in stroke average as a freshman and Dreher finished her career as a four-year letterman, having played on three teams that appeared in the NCAA regionals and one appearance in the NCAA championships.
