HILTON HEAD, S.C. – LSU freshman Kathleen Gallagher posted an even par round of 71 Saturday to move up 20 spots into a tie for 11th place after two rounds of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the Long Cove Club.
Gallagher took three shots off her first round 3-over 74 and moved from T31 to T11 at 3-over 145 and is now just six shots out of the lead entering Sunday’s final round held by Alexandra Farnsworth of Vanderbilt and Lauren Coughlin of Virginia, both at 3-under 139.
The Lady Tigers took two shots off Friday’s first round and shot 17-over 301 to stand at 36-over 604 and in 15th place entering the final round.
Sydney Cavin posted 74 after Friday’s 76 to stand at 8-over 150, while Elise Bradley had 77 with Carly Goldstein and Nadine Dreher both at 8-over 79.
The final round is set to begin at 7 a.m. CT with live scoring at LSUsports.net through Golfstatresults.com.
