BATON ROUGE, La.– Former LSU duo made up of brothers Neal and Ken Skupski won their first title since September, Saturday, in the ATP Challenger in Bergama, Italy.
The doubles pair, seeded third, took on Nikola Mektic and Antonio Sancic where they won the match 6-3, 7-5. This is Neal Skupski’s first title in Bergama with his elder brother, Ken, holding three titles there. As a duo the siblings have won eight Challenger titles total and are 8-3 for the year.
The duo will continue on to Wroclaw, Poland this week for their next ATP challenger event are seeded No. 1. The team will face Fredrik Ask and Szymon Walkow in the first round.
For other Tigers in the pros, Michael Venus and partner Mate Pavic are playing in the Open 13 in Marseille, France Feb. 15-21. The pair is seeded No. 2 and will face Lukas Dlouhy and Sergiy Stakhovsky.
