Women?s Tennis Wraps Up Play at Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The LSU women’s tennis team combined to win four of six matches to wrap up play at the Kitty Harrison Invitational. Overall, the Lady Tiger s won 10 singles matches and six doubles matches over the course of the three-day invitational.

During action on Sunday, Skylar Kuykendall defeated Michigan’s Mira Ruder Hook 6-4, 7-5. Fellow senior Ella Taylor defeated UM’s Kara Hall 6-3, 6-3 for her second win of the weekend.

Ryann Foster rounded out the bottom half of the lineup with a victory over UNCW’s Sabrina Barisano 6-2, 6-0. Skylar Holloway followed on court six with a three-set victory over Rice’s
Solomiya Zink 6-3, 1-6, 10-6.

“We had a very productive weekend from a developmental standpoint. I could not be prouder with how we are competing,” co-head coach Julia Sell said.

The Lady Tigers return to action Friday, November 13, for the UNLV Fall Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. The invitational marks the final tournament this fall for the team.
