BATON ROUGE, La.– LSU freshman Cameron Andry continued his singles streak for the hometown crowd, Friday, on day two of the LSU Invitational with a win over Rice’s Henrik Munch 7-6(5), 7-6(4).
Two other Tigers picked up wins today against Princeton. Sophomore Gabor Csonka defeated Josh Yablon 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 and senior Boris Arias took the match over Thomas Colautti 7-5, 6-2 .
“I thought today that singles was a real bright side for us,” said Head Coach Jeff Brown. “We won a couple of really close matches from Gabor and Cameron as well as a good win from Boris, indoors.”
The team also achieved three doubles victories over teams from Tulane and Rice.
Saturday, LSU is hoping to welcome back senior Andrew Korinek after sustaining an injury in the 2014-2015 season. Play will begin at 9 a.m. with doubles, immediately followed by singles.
