PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Skylar Kuykendall and Abby Owens of the LSU women’s tennis team dropped their opening match of ITA All-American prequalifying, 8-5, to Oklahoma State’s team of Laura Gulbe and Dzina Milovanovic Sunday at the Riviera Club.
Kuykendall now turns her attention to singles qualifying for the ITA All-American. The junior will take on Gabriella De Santis of Ohio State Tuesday in the opening round of qualifying.
De Santis led the way for the Buckeyes on court one with a 19-10 record and 11-7 record in dual matches. De Santis is also ranked 117th in the Oracle/ITA singles preseason rankings.
