Why did you choose LSU?
LSU has such an amazing feeling of family which I love, and it is unmatched in terms of giving students the best all-around college experience. Once I visited the school it was a no brainer. What has been your favorite moment at LSU?
Every competition is my favorite no matter the outcome. Any time I get to suit up and represent LSU alongside the best team there is, it’s an incredible and unforgettable experience. What are your goals for the 2016 season?
For 2016, my goal is to be used in any and every way possible to help the team reach its full potential, and when we do that the result will be something along the lines of bringing back a championship or two and I’m very excited for that! What have you worked on the most in the gym to prepare for 2016?
I’ve been working in the gym mainly on consistency and doing every skill as close to perfect as possible. I want to be more dependable for the team this year, so being clean and consistent is key!Have you checked out the construction of the new training facility? What are your thoughts? (Aug. 10 Construction Photos)
From what I’ve seen, the new facility is absolutely amazing! I kind of feel like a kid who’s seen their Christmas presents too early. I’m so ready to train in it I can’t contain myself!! It is going to be a great asset for the team.Ok, now to the fun questions.
What do you like most about your hometown?
My hometown is a small country town, so I love that it’s very laid back and everyone knows everyone. Southern hospitality is a very real thing where I come from!Do you have a talent other than gymnastics? What is it?
I am a pretty good writer so in my spare time I write short stories and I like to make/edit videos although the videos aren’t that great. If the team was to come to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for them? Be honest 🙂
I really love making soup from scratch, so I’d probably make a fiesta soup or a vegetable soup. What is your go-to Pandora station?
It depends on the day, so if I’m feeling very happy and easygoing it’s Shawn Mendes. But if I need a little extra pick me up, it’s Brandon Heath. What song describes your work ethic when it comes to gymnastics?
“Centuries” by Fall Out Boy. It’s very dynamic, confident, and matter-of-fact. The song never stops and is business like and straight to the point! How many quarters would you need to stack in order to reach the top of the Maravich Center?
700,000 quarters.Without looking it up, can you tell us how many years Bob Moore has coached at LSU?
20 years. If someone asked you why they should get LSU gymnastics season tickets, what would you tell them?
It’s the most epic display of athleticism around and is fun for everybody! You definitely don’t want to miss out!Do you want to build a snowman?
I really think there is only ever one answer to this question: Of course I do!
