BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU sophomore John Michael Busch was honored by the SEC on Tuesday by being named a member of the 2014-2015 SEC Men’s Tennis Community Service Team.
In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, all league-sponsored sports have had a community service team since 2004.
Busch, a Kennesaw Georgia native, participated in numerous service events over the last year. He took part in the LSU Move-in Day, Thanksgiving with the Tigers, Big Buddy Fishing, several children’s hospital visits, the Blue Ribbon Soiree, Wildlife & Fisheries Day, the LSU Halloween BOOzar, City Year Community Resource Fair, Young Heroes and other projects within the Baton Rouge community.
Other members of the team include Alabama senior Andrew Goodwin, Arkansas freshman Branch Terrell, Auburn senior Lukas Ollert, Georgia senior Eric Diaz, Kentucky senior Brett Johnson, South Carolina senior Kyle Koch, Tennessee senior Hunter Reese, Texas A&M senior Jeremy Efferding and Vanderbilt freshman Baker Newman.
