BATON ROUGE – The LSU Men’s Tennis team continued their first action of 2015 on Thursday at the Florida Gulf Coast University Spring Invitational. The Tigers matched up against FGCU for two rounds of singles and one round of doubles on the invitational’s second day.
The LSU team of junior Boris Arias and Jordan Daigle won another doubles match on Thursday and are a perfect 3-0 in doubles action at the invitational. In singles, the Tigers notched a 7-3 record on the day including a 6-0 sweep of the second round.
“Jordan [Daigle] and Boris [Arias] kept their streak going with a tough come-from-behind win in a tiebreaker,” said head coach Jeff Brown. “We had a successful day in singles as well with seven guys winning and the other three competed well and got everything they could out of their matches.”
Next for the Tigers at the FGCU Spring Invitational is a 9:30 a.m. match against Texas Christian University on Friday.
