BATON ROUGE — As the LSU football team awaits its postseason destination Sunday, the Tigers were ranked No. 22 in the final AP Top 25 of the regular season and No. 23 in both the final College Football Playoff rankings the Amway Coaches Poll.
LSU (8-4, 4-4 SEC), which moved up one spot in the each poll, will accept a bowl invitation for the 15th-straight season later today.
The inaugural four-team College Football Playoff will be announced at 11:30 a.m. CT on ESPN, followed by the “access bowls” early in the afternoon. Before 5:30 p.m. CT, all remaining SEC bowl selections are expected to be announced by the conference office.
