Men’s Tennis Announces Signing of Cameron Andry

BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s tennis coach Jeff Brown announced Sunday that the Tigers have signed Cameron Andry from Baton Rouge and St. Michael the Archangel High School to close out the early signing period.

Andry is the top prospect from the state of Louisiana as he held the No. 1 state ranking for six consecutive years.

“Cameron has done a good job of continuously improving his tennis and maintaining a high academic standard,” Brown said. “He has a big game, and we look forward to having him in our program and working hard every day.”

The Baton Rouge native has enjoyed a remarkable high school career which has seen him amass a perfect 49-0 record to go along with three state championships. Andry was a member of The Advocate’s “Star of Stars” for three years as well as being named All-Metro MVP for three years.

Andry is currently ranked in the top 20 for the southern section and is poised to win his fourth state championship in as many years. He will enroll in Aug. 2015 and look to make an immediate impact for the Tigers next season.
