Track & Field Athletes Visit Children at OLOL

BATON ROUGE – After LSU’s throws group made a recent visit to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in early November, members of the LSU Track & Field program made a return to the facility this week to spend more time with the children receiving treatment and their families to brighten their day ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

LSU’s athletes went room-to-room to visit with parents and their families, while also taking pictures, signing autographs, playing games and talking with the children at the hospital.

Among the 16 athletes who visited with the children this week were members of the middle distance, jumps and women’s sprints and hurdles groups. Those who took time out of their fall training schedules were the likes of seniors Andreas Duplantis and Julian Parker; juniors Shanice Hall, Shanice Holmes and Therese Jernbeck; sophomores Nataliyah Friar, Rushell Harvey, Ka’Lynn Jupiter, Briana Kelly, Jada Martin, Danielle Mitchell, Jonathan Pitt and Cameron Robichaux; and freshmen Daeshon Gordon, Keterra Harris and Jonathan Nelsen.
