COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Eleven hours after game 2 of its series at Texas A&M was suspended, the LSU baseball team finished off its 20th Southeastern Conference win of the season on Saturday morning, 7-4.
LSU (44-7, 20-6), which led 7-2 after six innings when the game was stopped late Friday, evened the series when Chris Cotton pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his 11th save of the season.
Starter Aaron Nola improved to 10-0 on the season after allowing two runs on six hits in six innings when the game was haulted Friday.
LSU leadoff hitter Sean McMullen was 4-for-4 with a run and three RBI, while second baseman JaCoby Jones was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

LSU can clinch the SEC’s Western Division title and the No. 2 seed in the May 21-26 SEC Tournament with a victory.
