BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball program and head coach Johnny Jones has announced the formation of a new booster group — “The Tiger Tip-Off Club.”
“The support groups for LSU Basketball have been vital to the program in years past and I want it to be bigger and better than ever before. The contributions you make allow us to continue to move forward as we strive together to make our program one of the finest in the country,” said Jones, who enters his first season as head coach at LSU.
Jones played on the 1981 NCAA Final Four SEC Championship team at LSU and served for many years after graduation as an assistant on Coach Dale Brown‘s Tiger teams, including as a member of the coaching staff on the 1986 NCAA Final Four team, which advanced to the national semifinals as a No. 11 seed.
Membership levels and benefits for the Tiger Tip-Off Club begin at the $300 level and members will receive: a monthly newsletter, autographed team poster, an invitation to pre-season practice/dinner and three additional meal gatherings along with pregame hors d’oeuvres for home games.
At the $500 level, members will in addition receive an autographed basketball and exclusive polo shirt, while members at the $1,000 level will receive all benefits listed plus two tickets to the post-season banquet, dinner with Coach Jones, an exclusive tip-off club pullover and an invitation to the Legend’s Club during home games.
Contributions to the Tiger Tip-Off Club are considered in the calculation of priority points by the Tiger Athletic Foundation. All contributions generated through membership will be utilized to enhance student-athlete and program initiatives.
