BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team will be featured six times on television during the 2012 season, the Southeastern Conference office announced Tuesday.
All six meets will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis.
LSU’s Jan. 13 home opener against Auburn will air on Fox Sports Net (FSN) at 4 p.m. CT on Jan. 21. FSN will also broadcast the Tigers’ Jan. 28 road meet at Georgia with the first air date set for Feb. 4 at 6 p.m.
Cox Sports Television (CST) will broadcast the Feb. 3 meet in the Maravich Center against Kentucky. The air date has not been set.
ESPN2 and ESPNU will carry LSU’s Feb. 10 road meet at Florida, the Tigers’ Feb. 24 home meet versus Alabama and the SEC Championship in Duluth, Ga., on March 24.
The meet at Florida will first air on ESPNU on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m., and it will be shown on ESPN2 on Feb. 19 at 12:30 p.m. The Alabama meet will appear on ESPNU on March 1 at 9:30 p.m. and on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on March 4.
The SEC Championship, featuring all seven SEC squads, will first air on March 29 at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 followed by a first appearance on ESPNU at 7 p.m.

LSU opens the 2012 season at the Cancun Classic on Jan. 6. The 12th-ranked Tigers will take on No. 11 Arkansas, No. 17 Auburn, No. 19 Arizona and No. 25 Iowa at 7 p.m. in the Iberostar Hotel ballroom in Cancun.
