BATON ROUGE — Six members of the LSU Swimming and Diving program celebrated the conclusion of final by spending time at a local Baton Rouge hospital.
Junior swimmers Sara Haley, Kaelee Mader, Timmy Dasinger, sophomore Mikayda Mills and Freshmen Amber Carter and Jennifer Reese interacted with the children to help spread the holiday spirit.
The athletes spent time conversing with the children on their desires for Christmas and hopes for the new year.
“It was nice to see the children’s faces light up when they said what they wanted for Christmas,” Haley said.
While spreading the holiday spirit, both the children and the athletes could not escape the buzz around campus surrounding the football team’s upcoming BCS National Championship contest.
“It was a great experience to show our excitement for the holidays and the Fighting Tigers,” Mader said.
