AUBURN, Ala. — LSU men’s tennis dynamic duo Olivier Borsos and Chris Simpson placed second at the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Monday in Auburn, Ala.
Borsos and Simpson got off to a slow start against Ole Miss’ Jonas Lutjen and Johan Backstrom, but battled back to keep the match close. The Tigers looked to take the advantage, but could not secure the victory, falling 8-5.
“We had a very successful tournament this weekend,” head coach Jeff Brown said. “Borsos and Simpson proved to be a great match, and I think they will have a lot of success this season. Overall, our team played in 50 matches this tournament and had a lot of success. I am extremely pleased with our performance this weekend.”
The Tigers make their next appearance of the fall season this coming weekend at the USF Fall Invitational.
