Swimmers Post Impressive Times at USA Meet

BATON ROUGE — Four LSU swimmers posted impressive times during day four of US Nationals staged at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

Arguably the Tiger’s best long distance swimmer, junior Craig Hamilton registered a 1500-meter freestyle lifetime best with a time of 15:57.28. His time placed him 57th out of 104 competitors.

Junior Audrey Lawson finished 49th out of 148 competitors in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:16.33. She barely missed out on topping her lifetime best in the 200m fly (2:16.13).
 
Junior Sara Haley also competed in the 200m fly, and secured a time of 2:17.91. She finished her run at US Nationals after posting a lifetime best in the 100m fly with a time of 1:02.38.

Junior Jana Ruimerman swam to a mark of 2:19.92 in the 200m backstroke. She also swam in the 100m back, and posted a mark of 1:06.58 on Wednesday.

Competition concludes today with junior Amanda Kendall swimming in the 100m free, junior Nick Kunkel the 200m back and sophomore Emily Scwabe the 200m breast.
