WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The LSU women’s tennis team took part in doubles action Saturday at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
LSU’s tandem of Whitney Wolf and Kaitlin Burns fought hard against Wake Forest’s Kathryn Talbert and Kayla Duncan, but the Demon Deacon duo pulled out the tight match, 8-6
Wolf also teamed with freshman Yvette Vlaar to challenge North Carolina State’s Sandhya Nagaraj and Sanaa Bhambri, but the Wolfpack tandem prevailed, 8-5.
Wake Forest’s Emilee Malvehy and Martina Pavelec defeated LSU’s duo of Vlaar and freshman Ariel Morton, 8-1, while the Demon Deacon team of Anna Mydlowska and Ryann Cutillo emerged victorious over Lady Tigers Hayley Everett and Kylie Adamek, 8-1.
The Wake Forest Invitational concludes Sunday with matches beginning at 8 a.m. LSU is slated to compete against Furman in doubles and Wake Forest in singles.
