LAS VEGAS – Former LSU basketball star Tasmin Mitchell made the most of his NBA Summer League debut at the Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus, scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds in the Cleveland Cavaliers 88-82 win over the NBA D-League Select team.
Mitchell, who signed with the Cavaliers as a free agent after the NBA draft, played 19 minutes off the bench, hitting 3-of-7 field goal attempts and making 5-of-8 free throws. He easily got his double double by grabbing seven of his 11 boards on the offensive end.
The Cavaliers have four games remaining this week with games Saturday and Sunday televised on NBA-TV.
