BATON ROUGE — LSU’s game against top-ranked Florida has been tabbed as the school’s annual Gold Game so fans are reminded to wear gold to Tiger Stadium for Saturday’s nationally-televised contest.
Kickoff for what is being considered one of the biggest games in Tiger Stadium in a half century is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The game is being televised by CBS.
LSU and Florida are the highest-ranked opponents to square off in Tiger Stadium since 1959 when No. 1 LSU beat No. 3 Ole Miss, 7-3. On Saturday, LSU goes into the game with a 5-0 overall mark and ranked No. 4 in the nation, while Florida is 4-0 overall and No. 1 in the country.
