CHOUDRANT, La. — Three members of the LSU men’s golf team made the trip to Choudrant, La., this week to compete as individuals in the 2009 Squire Creek Invitational hosted by Louisiana Tech University at Squire Creek Country Club.
Sophomore Josh Jones was the team’s top performer as he finished in a tie for 31st place after posting rounds of 2-over 74, 4-over 76 and 1-under 71 for a 54-hole score of 5-over par 221 at the par-72 layout.
Senior Brian Leveille also competed at the Squire Creek Invitational while finishing the championship in a tie for 58th place at 13-over 229, including a 3-over 75, 2-over 74 and 8-over 80. Fellow senior Brent Blaum finished one stroke behind Leveille in a tie for 64th place after recording rounds of 8-over 80, 5-over 77 and 1-over 73 for a two-day total of 14-over 230.
