BRISTOL, Conn. — For the sixth time in program history, the LSU Tigers won the College World Series, and on Wednesday, fans can relive their latest title.
At 1 p.m. CT Wednesday, ESPNU will re-air the 2009 College World Series Championship Game as its “TMI” Game of the Week. “TMI”, a popular acronym for “Too Much Information,” will display unique factoids about the players and teams during LSU’s 11-4 victory over Texas, which was played on June 24.
LSU is now tied with Texas with six national titles, good for second place behind USC’s 12. LSU has never lost in the CWS Finals.
Some examples of “TMI” graphics that will pop-up on screen throughout the game:
— DJ LeMahieu was a two-time winner of the Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year Award.
— Russell Moldenhauer was a 3rd round pick of the Los Angeles Angels in the 2006 MLB Draft.
