BATON ROUGE — Louisiana Tech’s Heather Doiron and LSU’s Cody Trahan picked up LSWA Softball Hitter and Pitcher of the Week accolades Thursday as voted upon by the LSWA.
A sophomore second baseman for the Lady Techters, Doiron batted .462 for the week in five games against Ole Miss and New Mexico State. She knocked home runs in four consecutive games and added six RBIs after entering the week with a .180 average, zero homers and three RBIs.
A junior pitcher for the Tigers, Trahan won her second consecutive LSWA weekly honor and ran her winning streak to four consecutive starts with a pair of complete game victories at Auburn. She limited the Tigers to a .177 batting average.
It’s the second career weekly honor for Trahan and first for Doiron from the LSWA.
