BATON ROUGE — The LSU SportsShop, the official gift and merchandise shopping center of LSU athletics, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday as part of Super Tiger Weekend on the LSU campus.
The doors to the LSU SportsShop open on Saturday at 9 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m. Located next to Mike the Tiger’s Habitat on North Stadium Drive, the LSU SportsShop is a 3,200 square foot facility that features the latest in LSU apparel and merchandise.
As part of Saturday’s grand opening, the LSU SportsShop will offer the following opportunities for Tiger fans: pictures with Mike the Tiger, face painting, balloon artist and caricaturist drawings for the kids, as well as giveaways throughout the day.
On Saturday, the LSU fans can visit the SportsShop every two hours to sign up for some incredible giveaways. The following is a list of the giveaways and the times in which those prizes will be awarded:
- 2 tickets to the LSU vs. Auburn football game and a $25 LSU SportsShop Gift Card from 9 to 11 a.m.
- 2 tickets to any remaining LSU baseball game along with an authentic baseball jersey from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- a $100 LSU SportsShop Gift Card from 1 to 3 p.m.
- a LSU helmet, football jersey and two pre-game passes for the 2009 home opener against Vanderbilt from 3 to 5 p.m.
- autographed football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball from 5 to 7 p.m.
- Grand Prize ? 4 tickets to the LSU vs. Florida football game, which will be drawn at 7 p.m.
Fans will also have a chance to shop for some great bargain items at the clearance outlet, which is located at the old Tiger Gift Center located on the west side of Tiger Stadium. There will also be a special sale center located in the old Tiger Gift Center located next to Mike the Tiger’s Habitat.
