HOUSTON — The LSU women’s tennis team dropped two singles matches on Sunday to finish its stay at the Holiday Inn Astrodome Rice Classic at Jake Hess Stadium.
In the Flight 4 consolation final, Kylie Adamek fell to Samford’s Lindsey Mallory 6-3, 6-1. In the Flight 5 consolation final, Sloane Mathis lost to Texas State’s Kiki Kruse 6-1, 6-0.
“We had a tough weekend in this tournament,” LSU assistant coach Lisa Jackson said. “We have a lot of work to do to get ready for regionals, but we are looking forward to the opportunity and the challenge.”
The Lady Tigers will be back in action in the ITA Southwest Regional Championships hosted by TCU on Thursday. The tournament will run through Monday, October 27.
