BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s basketball team will host an open scrimmage and autograph session in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Tuesday night, Oct. 28.
This will be the only open to the public on-court appearance prior to the opening game of the regular season on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. against Jackson State.
The event will be open to the public with free admission. Seating will be limited to areas in the lower bowl and south side because of the early construction of the new basketball practice facility on the North side of the building. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the scrimmage portion to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Following the scrimmage the team will sign autographs for fans who will also be able to pick up the commemorative LSU basketball poster, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the program and schedule cards for the upcoming season.
Season tickets remain on sale for the 2008-09 season that features a school record 21 home games and marks the first year with Trent Johnson as the LSU basketball coach. Season tickets begin this year at $100.
