BATON ROUGE — LSU forward Anthony Randolph was named an honorable mention freshman All-American Monday by Collegehoop.net and its panel of staff writers.
Randolph, who was one of the leading freshman in the Southeastern Conference in scoring and steals and the freshman leader in rebounds and blocks, averaged 15.6 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game and 2.2 blocks per game for the Tigers. Randolph is a native of Dallas, Texas.
Randolph had nine double-doubles and averaged over 16 points and nine rebounds in league play.
