BATON ROUGE — The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced their 15 All-District teams and two LSU players were recognized for their play in District 8 which covers Division I schools in Louisiana and southern Arkansas.
LSU junior three-point star Marcus Thornton was named to the five-man first team and join all-first team selections as eligible for the State Farm Division I All-America teams to be announced on April 5 in San Antonio at the NABC Convention.
Thornton is joined on the first team by Bo MaCalebb of UNO, David Gomez of Tulane, Tyrone Hamilton of Centenary and Chris Davis of Southern.
Freshman forward Anthony Randolph was named to the District 8 second team along with Trey Gilder of Northwestern State, Tony Hooper of Louisiana-Monroe, Adrian Banks of Arkansas State and Kyle Gibson of Louisiana Tech.
