BATON ROUGE — The 13th Annual LSU Baseball Alumni Golf Tournament will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, October 19 at the LSU golf course. All baseball alumni are invited to participate in the tournament free of charge.
“As a former LSU baseball player myself, it is one of my top priorities to involve our alumni in our program,” said LSU coach Paul Mainieri, who lettered as a Fighting Tiger in 1976. “I want the former players to know they are important to us; they have all played in role in establishing the tremendous tradition of LSU Baseball.
“This tournament is not a fundraising event ? it’s an opportunity for our alumni to come back to campus, renew friendships and exhibit the pride of being an LSU Tiger.”
Alumni will be given a tour of the New Alex box Stadium construction site, and there are tailgating activities schedule prior to the LSU-Auburn football game on Saturday, October 20.
The cost for individuals other than baseball alumni to play in the golf tournament is $150 or $600 for a four-man team. Sponsorship and signage opportunities are also available to interested parties.
