BATON ROUGE — Megan Falcon jumped to No. 2 in the individual player rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday.
Falcon capped off an impressive weekend by beating No. 11 Natalie Frazier of Georgia 0-6, 7-6, 10-7. Two days earlier Falcon beat No. 21 Blakeley Griffith of Tennessee in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 in a match that propelled the Lady Tigers to an upset of No. 24 Tennessee 5-2.
“It’s really great that Megan (Falcon) has jumped up to No. 2,” LSU head coach Tony Minnis said. “As a team we’re knocking on the door of the top 25. I’m excited about our team, but we are staying focused on Kentucky.”
LSU is back in action when they travel to Lexington to face Kentucky on Friday at 3 p.m.
