BATON ROUGE — While it may seem that LSU basketball player Glen Davis has been featured on almost every aspect of the ESPN family of media networks, one was remaining.
Now that one has been scratched off the list.
Glen Davis is the subject of a four-page spread in the current edition of ESPN The Magazine, dated Jan. 29.
The story, written by senior Wright Thompson, a former member of the New Orleans Times Picayune sports staff, is part of a four-page spread that offers a reflective look at where Davis’ life has taken him and the expectations of life as one of the most well-known players in college basketball. Thompson was in Baton Rouge in early December to write the story.
“Glen is, clearly, an amazing human being,” said Thompson. “Spending even a short amount of time with him gave me an appreciation for where he’s been, where he’s going and how important it is to him that he get there.”
The Tigers play host to Vanderbilt on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Maravich Center. Tickets are on sale online at LSUsports.net and at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office.
