Three Tigers to Play in North-South All-Star Classic

BATON ROUGE — Three members of LSU’s 2007 Sugar Bowl Championship team will play another college football game on Saturday as offensive tackle Peter Dyakowski, running back Justin Vincent and defensive back Sammy Joseph will take part in the inaugural IntaJuice North-South All-Star Classic in Houston.

The contest, which will be played Galena Park Stadium in Houston, starts at 11 a.m. and will be televised to a national audience on ESPN2.

All three LSU players were originally scheduled to be in Las Vegas this weekend for the 2007 All-America Classic, however that all star game was cancelled earlier this week. As a result, the three Tigers will now play in the Houston all star game.

With the addition of Dyakowski, Vincent and Joseph to the all star game lineup, the Tigers now have eight seniors participating in post season games.

Other LSU players in post season all star games include defensive back Daniel Francis in the East-West Shrine Game, and wide receivers Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis along with defensive tackle Chase Pittman and free safety LaRon Landry in the Senior Bowl.
