BATON ROUGE — The websites www.bigsyl34.com and www.glenbigbaby.com, designed to promote LSU basketball players Sylvia Fowles of the women’s team and Glen Davis of the men’s team, have been launched on Tuesday by the LSU Athletics Department.
The websites were created to promote the two for National Player of the Year honors as well as All-America honors.
Fowles, a 6-6 junior center from Miami, Fla., earned third-team All-America honors last season and is already a preseason candidate for the State Farm Wade Trophy ad the John R. Wooden Women’s Award.
The site www.bigsyl34.com features Fowles’ biography, photo galleries, videos, quotes about Fowles from people around the nation, her career and game-by-game statistics, and the 2006-07 Lady Tigers’ roster and schedule.
Davis, a 6-9 junior forward from Baton Rouge, was a first-team All-America selection and the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year last season and is a candidate for the John R. Wooden Award as well as being a preseason All-American by numerous publications.
The site www.glenbigbaby.com features Davis’ biography, honors, photos, videos, quotes about Davis and quotes from Davis, his career statistics and the 2006-07 Tigers’ roster and schedule.
The sites were designed by Peter Hoang and Jason Feirman of the LSU publication’s office and will be maintained and updated throughout the season by the sports information department.
