BATON ROUGE — LSU has once again broken the school record for football season ticket sales as 67,800 season tickets have been sold for the Tigers’ eight home games this year, director of ticket operations Brian Broussard announced.
Broussard said it also marks the third consecutive year that LSU has sold out of its season ticket allotment. A year ago, LSU sold what was then a school record 67,355 season tickets. LSU sold nearly 66,000 season tickets following the national championship season in 2004, which was also a record at the time.
The Tigers, who have been ranked as high as No. 4 in the nation in preseason polls, are coming off an 11-2 overall mark a year ago.
LSU opens its second season under head coach Les Miles on Sept. 2 when the Tigers host Louisiana-Lafayette at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
