BATON ROUGE — The starting time of Game 2 of the LSU-Mississippi State baseball series Saturday has been changed to 1 p.m. CST in Alex Box Stadium.
The game — originally scheduled for 2 p.m. — was moved one hour earlier to allow fans to watch the LSU men’s and women’s basketball NCAA Tournament games on television.
The LSU Lady Tigers meet DePaul in a Sweet 16 match-up at 11 a.m. CST Saturday live on ESPN from San Antonio, Texas. The LSU men’s basketball team faces Texas in an Elite Eight showdown at 3:40 p.m. CST Saturday live on CBS from Atlanta.
“Saturday will be a great day for LSU,” said baseball coach Smoke Laval, “and we want to give our fans the opportunity to enjoy it as much as possible.”
Saturday’s baseball game will not be televised, but it can be heard in Baton Rouge on WNXX/KNXX 104.5/104.9 FM and in the Geaux Zone powered by USAgencies at www.LSUsports.net.
