The Tigers broke a 2-2 tie early in the game and put it away quickly with a 16-0 run that put LSU up 18-2 en route to an amazing 50-19 halftime advantage. LSU has now won 12 straight home games in the SEC and will put an 11-game overall SEC winning streak and a five-game string of road SEC wins on the line against the Rebels and Coach John Brady would love to see more of the same type of play Saturday that he saw in the first half on Wednesday.
“Our team (Wednesday) night played the first 20 minutes the best they can play, we really just played well and then the second half we settled down and were able to get some players some game time,” said Brady. “Ole Miss finds way to stop people in their tracks and now they are getting some home games. I’m sure we’re going to get their best effort because they need to win and the best way to win is at home.”
The Tigers will be home on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. game at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center against Auburn. There is no television for the game and tickets are available online at LSUsports.net. Tickets are $14 and $5 for youth (12 and under).
