PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — The LSU women’s tennis team concluded its fall season Saturday as competition in the SEC Coaches Classic came to a close with both Anastasiya Dubova and Tiffany Tucker earning a win for the day.
“Now that our fall season is over, we just need to work on getting everyone healthy and back to form,” head coach Tony Minnis said.
Dubova and Tucker both fell in their first matches Saturday. Dubova dropped hers to South Carolina’s Grace Blakeley, 6-3, 6-3, while Tucker lost to Preethi Subramanian of Ole Miss, 6-2, 6-1.
Each rebounded, however, to pick up wins in their final tournament outing. Dubova beat Daniela Juskova of Mississippi State, 6-2, 6-2, and Tucker took a three-set win over a different Bulldogs opponent, Renee Joseph, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
The Lady Tigers next play in the Michigan Classic on Jan. 13, their final tune-up before beginning regular-season action Jan. 22 in a double dual meet at home versus Nicholls St. and UL-Lafayette.
