New Post-Game Traffic Procedures Announced for Saints Games

BATON ROUGE — New procedures for post-game traffic flow will be implemented for the New Orleans Saints game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Traffic delays following the Saints’ game against Miami on Sunday prompted traffic officials to create several one-way exit routes from campus, upon approval of the New Orleans Saints.

The following post-game procedures will be in place for New Orleans Saints games beginning Sunday:

All traffic exiting parking lots on Skip Bertman will be required to go west to River Road. From there, traffic may go north or south on River Road.

Northbound traffic on River Road will be detoured to northbound on St. Phillip at South Boulevard.

Southbound traffic on River Road will not be allowed to turn east onto Gourrier Lane.

Vehicles in parking lots on Gourrier Lane (The Fairway, The Hayfield) will be directed east to Nicholson Drive with a dedicated turn lane to go south on Nicholson.

Traffic exiting parking lots on Nicholson Extension will be required to go east to Highland Road and then south on Highland to Lee Drive.

Traffic on the east side of Tiger Stadium will be encouraged to go east on South Stadium to north on Stanford and toward Acadian to Interstate 10.

Unlike the first game, South Stadium Road will be opened for Lot C to flow eastbound. The first game, no traffic was allowed on South Stadium Road near the stadium.
