BATON ROUGE — City Police and LSU Police have listed the best traffic routes for motorists driving to Tiger Stadium for New Orleans Saints football games. To report traffic problems, call LSU Police at (225) 578-3231.
Fans are advised to expect delays as traffic will not be directed one-way into and out of campus for Saints games. LSU also requests that fans do not park on the campus proper, but to use the lots west and south of campus as listed below.
APPROACHING CAMPUS:
If approaching the stadium from the north, use River Road or Nicholson Drive. Traffic on Highland Road or Dalrymple Drive should proceed south on Highland to Nicholson Extension and turn right to reach Nicholson Drive.
If approaching the stadium from east or south, use either College Drive, Acadian/Stanford exit, Highland Road or Burbank Drive and Nicholson Drive.
Fans coming from the south on Nicholson Drive or Burbank will be routed to Gourrier Lane, then River Road and onto Skip Bertman Drive.
EXITING CAMPUS:
After the game, southbound traffic from the stadium will be directed onto Nicholson Drive, Burbank Drive or to River Road. After the game, northbound traffic west of Tiger Stadium will be directed onto Nicholson Drive or to River Road. Northbound traffic east of Tiger Stadium will be directed onto Highland Road.
Eastbound traffic exiting Tiger stadium may take W. Lakeshore to Stanford and north to Acadian, or east on Dalrymple to north towards City Park and I-10 West.
SUGGESTED PARKING LOTS:
Free parking will be available for Saints game in lots located on River Road, Gourrier Lane and Nicholson Extension. LSU encourages fans to not park on the campus proper, but to utilize these lots to the south and west of campus.
Motor homes will be directed to park in Touchdown Village lots on Nicholson Extension.
Reserved parking at the rate of $20 per game will be available in the following lots: Lot CA across South Stadium Drive from Tiger Stadium, Lots C and U on the corner of Nicholson Drive and Nicholson Extension, Lot D at Nicholson Drive and Skip Bertman Drive, Lot E behind the right field fence of Alex Box Stadium, and Lot W on Skip Bertman Drive next to the Charles McClendon Practice Fields.
