WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Junior Heather Brand competed in her second event in as many days, swimming in the 100 butterfly at the 2005 Women’s NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday.
Brand, a native of Harare, Zimbabwe, placed 29th in the 100 fly preliminaries with a time of 54.73. Brand closed out her first NCAA Championship appearance.
The men will take their turn at the NCAA Championships, held March 24-26 in Minneapolis, Minn.
