HOUSTON — The No. 23 LSU women’s tennis team (4-1) will continue its two-match Texas road trip with a meeting versus Houston (2-1) at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers head into the match with a 4-1 record looking to rebound from a Sunday loss at Rice.
“Rice was a tough loss for us, and we just need to prepare and hopefully get a win against Houston,” coach Tony Minnis said.
The last meeting between the teams resulted in a 7-0 win for LSU at Houston two years ago. The Lady Tigers are 9-2 overall against the Lady Cougars.
After a tough three-set loss to Rice’s No. 89 Blair DiSesa, senior Amanda Mang looks to rebound herself and get a victory in Houston.
Senior Biljana Dimovska leads the Lady Cougars into action. Dimovska is a perfect 3-0 this season in both doubles and singles play.
In the first match of this road trip, LSU fell to Rice, 4-3. They will look to bounce back and pick up a crucial road win at Houston.
