BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s basketball coach John Brady issued the following statement Monday regarding sophomore player Regis Koundjia:
“Regis Koundjia has decided to pursue his basketball future as it relates to playing time at another institution. Regis leaves LSU in good academic standing and I wish him the best. I appreciate Regis’ contribution to our program.”
Koundjia had played in all seven games and was averaging 3.2 points per game, 2.2 rebounds a game and just over one assist. He played in 27 games a year ago as a freshman, averaging 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds a game.
